Painted in blue and gold this amazing Hindu temple is dedicated to the protector, preserver and sustainer the blue god Lord Vishnu and his consort Goddess of wealth Lakshmi. The temple stands out for beautiful photographs during the pre-sunsets with its golden roof reflecting sun rays.
The temple lies along the Pulmoddai road which goes from Uppuveli to Nilaveli, and can be easily noticed beside the road with its large blue boundary wall. It also resembles the Vishnu temple in Matara for being painted in dark blue. It was made by South Indian architects and follows the styles of South Indian Dravidian architecture.
Inside the temple there are many golden pillars holding up the roof decorated with stunning carvings and sculptures. Many devotees gather for the sacred poojahs which includes beating traditional drums and nadaswaram.
