A beautiful wide waterfall closer to the Kandy - Nuwara Eliya road, Ramboda is a popular stop for many travelers. Waters of a tributary of Kotmale Oya named Puna Oya form the Ramboda falls by falling off a 109 meter tall cliff. The fall is very active during the rainy seasons, and is the 11th highest waterfall in the island.

Many travellers stop by the Ramboda pass to see the falls from the vehicle itself. Some chose to get down and take a small hike of 30 minutes to reach the top of the fall and see the waters falling off the cliff. The Ramboda falls is special for being formed by two parallel water streams and joining together forming a Y shape. The waterfall has two sections on both sides of the road, the upper section and the lower section, we recommend the views from the lower section are the best which includes a hike.
