We discovered a few places to dine last week. Having spent the whole morning taking photos of the beautiful Galle Fort, we got to M H Dimo Fort restaurant for lunch. It's located on the upper floor of Galle Dutch Hospital, and has the option of in-room and open dining. On a sunny day in-room dining is a luxury to have.
They’ve got a great variety of traditional Sri Lankan food, where they use Sri Lankan spices and fresh fish. We were a group of 4 after a very busy morning there. And ordered their Classic Traditional Cream Tomato Soup. The Chef’s recommendation was to try the Southern Delight Platter, which included one big grilled fish, pork chops, chicken, beef steak, prawns, calamari, tuna, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes and a corn, with a demi-glace sauce.
Once after lunch, and a chat with their manager, and the chef we said we’d write up a recommendation on our blog and the lovely services we received. We sure recommend this place and would love for you to try out their amazing dishes.
