A 200-hectare bird reserve, Kumana National Park is renowned particularly for its large flocks of migratory waterfowl and wading birds. You can also witness a number of elephants, leopards, sloth bears, monkeys, crocodiles and many other animals.
The park is 391 kilometers from Colombo on Sri Lanka's southeastern coast, east of Yala National Park. In contrast to Yala National Park, this iconic attraction is calm and less visited by travelers.
