Mapalana Falls

Set in a locale of unparalleled natural beauty, Mapalana Ella is a 141 meter tall alluring waterfall segmented into three sections. It is connected to a stream originating from the Samanala Mountain Range. Legend has it that a local nobleman frequently bathed in the fall, and thus the name ‘Mapalana’ was derived from Maapaa-Nana; the place where the noble bathed.
