A temple built on a small rocky island, Paravi Duwa is just on the opposite of the Matara bus station. When you reach the top you can see the endless Indian Ocean and experience the strong winds. It is a wonderful place for photographs, and takes about 30 minutes for a visit. You have to walk up barefooted.
