Old Nupe Market

The long market built in the late 18th-century sits next to the Galle road. It is uncertain whether it was built by the Dutch or the British. The market is 31 meters long and 9 meters wide with a roof tiled with Kandyan style tiles. There are three main sections used for meat, vegetables and textiles. There is nothing much to see in it, but you can notice it while travelling along the Galle road.
