Handun Ella

Uncover a pristine waterfall, and a lesser-known one, in Kitulgala. With a sheer drop of 30 meters, Handun Ella is linked to the Kelani River. The name ‘Handun’ translates to sandalwood, and was derived from the abundance of sandalwood trees that were evident in the area centuries ago. The area is prone to leeches, so ensure to carry some salt or wear leech protection socks.
