Hummanaya - Blowhole

Hummanaya blowhole is located just about a kilometer away from the Tangalle - Matara Road between Dikwella and Tangalle. It's the only blowhole in Sri Lanka, and considered to be the second largest blowhole on earth. If you are planning to go be aware of the seasons, the best time is during southwest monsoon from June to August. If the sea is rough it can blow up water about 23 meters to the air, and make spectacular views. However during other times it can be disappointing. From the parking area there is a walk up about 300 meters passing lots of dried fish vendors. You need to buy a ticket to reach the blowhole.
